CSR sponsors global cycling challenge
On 18th February 2012, Stephen Phillips set off on his round the world cycle challenge. In 2011, Stephen Phillips approached CSR to become one of his sponsors for his trip around the world and we were delighted to work with him. Steve is a serving policeman and is taking a sabbatical to fulfil this lifetime ambition. Steve will be trying to set the world record for inclusion in the Guinness Book of Records for circumnavigating the world in one direction. He aims to cover some 18,000 miles in around 160 days. Currently the world record stands at 163 days. The route he is following can be found by clicking here. Steve will be blogging and tweeting as he goes round the world and these will appear in CSR’s own social media pages. Steve will also be meeting members of CSR’s staff on his travels. These employees will have the opportunity to cycle with him for part of the route. Steve will use a Samsung Galaxy II (powered by CSR!) on his journey to enable him to report on his progress. Steve will be using a bike proudly displaying the CSR logo.
You can follow Steve on his GPS transmitter which will show you where he is at any time in the world. Stephen will be cycling along the following route (dates are an approximate):
